Night Market Experiences (MS)

The first picture is a picture of the street where the night market is. I took the picture at the end of the street because the moon looked really pretty in the picture with all the vendors. The second picture I took was of me eating a corn dog that I got at the night market. The corn dog that I got was really good. It was very crispy and the hotdog was very juicy and big. It was really yummy. I enjoyed it a lot.

The third picture I took was of me holding the keychains that I got at the night market. I got two keychains with lighthouses on them. I got these two keychains for my friends on my water ski team. I like them because we went to a lighthouse and also because they have the shape of Taiwan on the keychain. I thought that it was a really good souvenir.

I went to the market with my friend Frances. The first thing we did was buy a lot of clothes then we got mango smoothies. After drinking our smoothies we bought more clothes. Then we went to the 7-11 for some instant ramen. Then we bought more clothes. In total I bought six shirts and two shorts. Frances and I had lots of fun hanging out together and bought way too many clothes!

In the night market there was a variety of different foods and drinks. One very tasty drink that I had had was lemon, lime and guava tea. The night market also had a very unique smell of stinky tofu. Let’s just say it lives up to its name.

Yesterday we went to the biggest night market in Hualien. When we got there we saw many different shops selling foods. We were challenged to try a new Taiwanese food, so my friends and I tried spicy scallion pancakes. They are fried dough with egg and a spicy sauce. They tasted very cool  and had a good interesting texture. We also had limeade which is a popular drink in Hualien. It was a perfect mix of sour and sweet. There were also carnival games but sadly we didn’t win anything more than trinkets. Finally we found a cool robot machine that makes cotton candy in any shape you choose. One final thing that made this night market stand out from others was the beautiful mountains in the background. Overall, I had a great time!
